Representing Christ

2 Samuel 12:9-14

1 Peter 3:15
But in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and respect.

"We don't want the public to praise us just because of our excellent moral and ethical conduct; instead, we want them to know that Christ has transformed us to be useful fo rour society. We want Christ to be exalted."

This past weekend I was able to think a lot about how I am an ambassador for Christ, and how I represent Him in my words and how I express my emotions. I find that when I am talking to my non-Christian friends, I fall short very often in being direct and honest about my viewpoints. However, God reminded me what a big God He is, how faithful He is, and how He is working to bring those who don't know Him back into His arms. One way that I want to grow in my missions prep is to be able to examine my life --my thoughts, decisions, and consequences-- and to be able to point them back to Jesus, so that when others ask, I am ready to speak of who He is to me.

  1. Word. Anything and everything in our lives can be pointed back to Jesus if we welcome Him into those things.
